Tikal's purse uses three denominations of the same gold — higher coins are just lighter to carry:

Exchange them at any vault keeper (100 gold ⇄ 1 jade, 100 jade ⇄ 1 obsidian). Creatures drop gold coins; large payouts consolidate into jade and obsidian automatically.
Players who want to skip some of the grind can buy Obsidian Coin pouches with real money from the in-game Coin Shop (bottom bar → Shop, or landscape HUD menu → Shop):

Coins land in the active character's pack after payment (web via Stripe; iOS/Android via the app store). They are ordinary farmable gold — not a separate premium currency and not a combat advantage. Hunting still earns the same coins for free.
