Premium is an account-wide status that unlocks a set of quality-of-life perks for every character on your account. It is active as long as your pass has time remaining — when it expires you drop back to Free; your progress, gold, and items are untouched.
There are two ways to become Premium.
Subscribe inside the game (bottom bar → Shop → Premium tab). The subscription renews automatically once a month through your app store (iOS / Android) or through the web (Stripe). Cancel any time and your pass stays active until it runs out.
Three Tikal-Coins-exclusive scrolls grant a fixed block of Premium time. Reading one adds the scroll's days to your pass, stacking on top of any time you have left — you never lose days you already paid for.
| Scroll | Tikal Coins | Approx. USD | Equivalent sub months |
|---|---|---|---|
| Premium Scroll (30 Days) | 550 | ~$5.50 | 1 month |
| Premium Scroll (90 Days) | 1,600 | ~$16.00 | 3 months |
| Premium Scroll (365 Days) | 6,500 | ~$64.98 | 12 months |
The scrolls cost a little more than the equivalent subscription time at the large-pack coin rate — subscribing stays the better deal for long-term players. The scroll option exists for those who want a fixed pass without a recurring payment.
Unlike every other item in the Premium Shop, Premium Scrolls are fully tradeable — list them on the player market, sell them to a friend, or buy one for gold from another player. This means you can become Premium without ever spending real money: earn enough gold in-game and buy a scroll from the market. Supply comes from other players who bought coins and chose to sell their scrolls rather than use them.
Tikal Coins are bought from the Shop → Buy Coins tab:
| Pack | Tikal Coins | Price (USD) |
|---|---|---|
| Small Pouch | 500 | $5.99 |
| Medium Pouch | 1,600 | $17.99 |
| Large Pouch | 3,400 | $33.99 |
The Coin Shop also has a Boosts tab where you can put Tikal Coins toward server-wide Community Boosts (extra experience, double loot, or faster training for everyone) instead of spending them on yourself — see Events → Community Boosts.

Free accounts pay a gold fee each time they sail with the travel guide between cities. The fare scales with your character level so it stays a real cost as hunting gold rises: 15,000 gp through level 50, then about fifteen minutes of hunting gold (for example 32,500 gp at level 100, 87,500 gp at level 200). Premium accounts travel free. Walking between cities is always free.
Premium adds 200 oz to your backpack's weight limit. That's room for more potions and loot without a depot run.
When you die, the Serpent's Ward grants you the equivalent of 2 free temple blessings on top of any you are carrying — shaving 16% off your experience and skill loss before blessings even start. Free accounts get no ward.
During world events (invasions and world-boss kills), Premium accounts receive 15% more personal loot from event-tagged monsters. Everyday hunting is unaffected — this only applies while an event is active.
Premium-gated zones — the Premium Isle (a whole island across the strait), Premium enclaves (exotic districts in the open world), and their Depths — are accessible only to Premium players. Eight exclusive creatures prowl those territories; their loot is tradeable, so free hunters can still buy every drop on the player market. See Bestiary.
Premium accounts can hold more simultaneous market listings than free accounts — useful if you sell loot regularly.
Nahual Charms are permanent hunting perks bought with Charm Points from your Bestiary. Every charm is available to free accounts — none are Premium-only. Free hunters pay twice the catalogue; Premium pays the listed cost. When you become Premium, any 2× you already spent is converted back to 1× so leftover Charm Points return immediately. If the pass lapses, unlocked charms stay; new unlocks go back to 2×.
Every hunter can save one charm-binding loadout. Premium adds three more saved sets (four total) so changing from one prey family to another takes one tap outside combat. Saved Premium sets are remembered if the pass lapses, but stay locked until Premium returns. Loadouts change convenience only: they do not add charms, points, or combat power.

Only Premium accounts can bid on and keep city houses. Your pass must stay active to keep the house — if Premium lapses, the house returns to auction at the next weekly settle. See Getting a House.
While Premium is active you can paint your overhead name in Maya ink from Set outfit → Nameplates: Jade Glyph, Sun Gold, Obsidian Night, Quetzal Plume, Terracotta Sun, or Cenote Turquoise. Look-only — no combat bonus. Party, war, and GM name tints still win in a fight; then the cosmetic is a thin bar under the name.
Free hunters (and anyone who wants the colors after Premium lapses) can buy the same set for life with the Coin Shop Name Color Unlock Scroll. See Currency & Tikal Coins.

Does Premium give combat advantages?
No extra damage, armor, or unique spells. Every calling's numbers are the same. Free hunters can unlock every Nahual Charm; Premium only pays half the Charm Points (and converts 2× you already spent).
What happens when my Premium runs out?
You drop to Free. Your characters, gold, inventory, house, and progress are all safe — only the perks go away. If your house rent comes due while Free, the house returns to auction.
Can I stack scroll time on top of a subscription?
Yes. Using a Premium Scroll while you have an active subscription (or while another scroll is still running) always extends the expiry by the full duration — you never lose days you already paid for.
Are the scrolls tradeable between characters on my account?
Yes — they are ordinary inventory items. Move them between characters through the depot, the market, or direct trade.
I bought a scroll on the market for gold. How do I use it?
Open your backpack, find the scroll, and tap Use (or right-click → Use on desktop). It activates immediately and your Premium timer updates on the spot.
Do I keep my name color if Premium lapses?
If you have read the Name Color Unlock Scroll, yes — it is a lifetime license on that character. If you only had Premium, the color hides until you subscribe again; your last pick is remembered.
