Tutorial world. New Wanderers begin here. Hunt until level 8, swear a vocation with Daykeeper Itzel, and the temple tide carries you to mainland Tikal.
Mayahuel is a peaceful frontier sanctuary of the Kingdom of the Jade Serpent. Raised around an ancient causeway shrine, its limestone walls shelter gardens of cacao, bright quetzal birds, and clear pools set with jade.
New adventurers arrive beneath the city’s turquoise gate, where patient wardens teach the customs of the kingdom. Beyond the walls, sunlit trails lead through friendly jungle clearings and weathered temples built for first journeys rather than great dangers.
The old stones are said to watch over every traveler who enters with courage and kindness. Here, even the smallest quest is honored as a first step along the Serpent’s golden road.
You arrive as a Wanderer — no vocation yet. Daykeeper Itzel gives the first hunt: cull 3 Rats beyond the gate, and a Macuahuitl arrives when the last one falls. Train until level 8, then ask Itzel of your vocation. The moment you swear it, the temple tide teleports you to mainland Tikal. There is no ship to step onto.
The four vocation halls on the shore are guides, not shops. They explain what each calling feels like so you can decide:
| Hall | Advisor | What they teach |
|---|---|---|
| Knight | Nacom the Iron | Jaguar Knight — melee, plate, shield; no spells or ammo to manage |
| Paladin | Hunal the Swift | Eagle Paladin — bows, spears, and ammunition; some light magic |
| Sorcerer | Ah Kin the Bright | Sky Sorcerer — wands, fire and energy; thin robes, high mana use |
| Druid | Sak of the Grove | Jade Druid — rods, healing and nature; sustain and support |
Ask each advisor about the calling, weapon, armor, spells, or how they compare to the others.
Ixtab the Supply Keeper sells only basic Wanderer gear: training weapons of every style, leather, food, potions, a backpack, a fishing rod, a Torch, and starter gathering tools (Flint Pick, Flint Hatchet, Bone Sickle). Knight swords, paladin bows, wands, rods, and vocation armour wait on the mainland.
The shore has a depot. Sage Mira (spells and promotion) is not here — find her in any mainland city temple after you swear (Palm Haven and the other eight Tikal cities). Captain Roderick may still stand on the plaza for the wolf-pelt hunt; leaving the island still happens through Itzel.

Mayahuel uses the shared tutorial quest line and vocation journey rather than generated regional contracts.
Quest names are listed without solutions so exploration still matters. See the in-game Quest Log for your current objectives — travel and kill steps name the zone or landmark when the world knows it, and otherwise list (x, y, z) coordinates that match the minimap. Hunting-zone names also appear on the minimap and full map; toggle them with Z / Zones.
